South West Mental Health Ministry Part Time Interim Chaplin/Director Thursday, July 12, 2007 (83 reads)
The Interim Chaplain/Director (I/C/D) provides companioning and advocacy support to individuals with mental illness and their families, and equips local congregations to develop their mental health ministries. The I/C/D serves as chief administrator of SWMHM, develops and implements programs, and works closely with a volunteer advisory board to raise the funds necessary to support the program. This is a part time (16 hour per week) exempt position. The I/C/D reports to the Associate Director of the Church Council of Greater Seattle. The Interim Chaplin/Director will be eligible to apply for the permanent position.

Rainier Beach Presbyterian Church, a small ethnically diversified urban church, has an immediate opening for an Accompanist/Organist. As a diverse church our music is one of blends of hymns, global songs and praise songs and uses classical, jazz, gospel and other styles of music in our worship. The responsibilities of the Accompanist/Organist would be to accompany the choir during practices and Sunday services as well as provide preludes, offertories, postludes and incidental music as required by the services of worship.
